Owner Tom Eddy describes the 2016 vintage as a great year in Napa Valley and recommends this cabernet as an exceptional pairing for your steak dinner. Tom Eddy Winery’s cabernet entries received platinum medals from the International Sommelier Competition in 2022, and as a result, Tom Eddy Winery was awarded 2022’s "Winery of the Year.”

We’re offering this limited-supply promotion exclusively to customers in our Colorado local home-delivery zones at this time, but look forward to offering similar packages to shipping customers in the future.

Suggested entrees:

(1) Large Ribeye, bone-in, 1-1.24lbs

(1) Filet steak, 7oz

Recommended wine pairing:Visit your local wine and spirits shop and look for a Cabernet Sauvignon or a spicy Zinfandel. Many experts recommend pairing ribeye steak with a Cabernet Sauvignon, as the high tannins in the Cab Sauv help to cut through the juiciness and fattiness of the cut, while the fruitiness of the Zin contrasts well with the ribeye and filet’s robust savory flavor.

We’ve pulled a list of appetizers, sides, dessert recipes, wine pairings, and even a couple cooking soundtracks to complete your Valentine’s Day Menu for Two below – jump to that section now!

APPETIZERS, SIDES, DESSERT, AND WINE PAIRINGS

Any of these options are sure to complement your steaks.

APPS

SIDES

DESSERT

WINE PAIRINGS – ask your local wine and spirits store for recommendations!

  • Apps:Try a dry Chardonnay
  • Sides:Try a tart and crisp Sauvignon Blanc
  • Entrees:Assuming your entrees are steaks, the high tannins in a Cabernet Sauvignon will help to cut through the juiciness and fattiness of the cut, while the fruitiness of a spicy Zinfandel contrasts well with the ribeye and filet’s robust savory flavor.
  • Dessert:Chardonnay, a tawny port wine (Like Sandeman’s 20-year Tawny Port or Taylor Fladgate’s Vintage Tawny Port). If youopt for the indulgent affogato dessert, it’s a two-for-one dessert and espresso all in one!

VALENTINE'S DAY COOKING PLAYLIST

Check out these Spotify playlists to help inspire your culinary talents. Just don’t blame us if you get caught up in kitchen karaoke and end up burning the food.

Well, there you have it! And if you’re not feeling the prep, cooking, or cleanup – you can always order takeout or delivery of your favorite apps, sides, and dessert from local restaurants. Just be sure to check availability in your area (before Valentine’s Day) and time your reservation for pickup/delivery with your local restaurants or go-to delivery app.

Ditch the reservations, the cold, and the crowds – enjoy a Valentine’s date-night-in with your sweetheart at home instead.
